Accountant

A fast-growing company is looking for a motivated candidate to fill the position of Accountant. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, excellent communication skills, and a minimum of 2 years of proven accounting experience. Knowledge of accounting and taxes is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS
-    Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred 
-    Excellent  Communication skills 
-    A minimum of 2 years of  proven accounting experience
-     Knowledge of accounting and taxes is a plus
-     Proactive approach with a high level of attention to detail
-    Ability to work well under pressure
-    Must be a valid member of ZICA
-    Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays
-    Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
-    Able to operate with minimal supervision 
-    Understand and learn the functioning, principals and fundamentals of accounting 
-    Ability to handle cash transactions
-    Knowledge of Sage Accounting system 
RESPONSIBILITIES 
-    Reconcile accounting records
-    Assisting with verification of physical inventory during stock counts
-    Generate financial reports related accounts as needed
-    Ensuring compliance with legal accounting standard
-    Resolve any discrepancies or issues
-    Filling accounting documents
-    Submission of statutory obligations (VAT,PAYE, provisional tax, NAPSA, NHIMA, workers compensation, PACRA
-    Reconciling banks and petty cash invoicing
-     Perform other related duties as assigned by your supervisor
