Have you ever asked yourself:
Where can I buy good thrift clothes in Zambia?
What products should I sell if I have a small budget?
How do I grow a loyal customer base online?
How can I make consistent profits without overpricing?
These are the exact questions I faced when I started my online thrift and accessory store in early 2023. After a lot of trial and error, I decided to create Thrifting Flipping Zambia, a practical four-lesson course for anyone who wants to build a successful thrift business right here in Zambia.
Whether you’re in Lusaka, Livingstone, Ndola, or anywhere else, this course will give you real strategies that work in the Zambian market.

Where to Buy in Zambia:
Markets like Kamwala Market, Chilenje Market, City Market, and even the streets of Lusaka’s CBD are great places to start. If you’re outside Lusaka, check your town’s main market or connect with suppliers in larger cities.
What to Buy Based on Budget:
Low-range: Shirts, caps, socks, low-cost jewelry
Mid-range: Trousers, football jerseys, sweatpants, mid-priced jewelry
High-range: Hoodies, cargo pants, premium jewelry like gold-tone chains
β Tip: Always consider size, color, quality, and price before buying. Stick to your budget to avoid overspending.
Growing Your Market:
Post regularly on Facebook Marketplace, Instagram, and WhatsApp Status. Share restock updates, customer reviews, and behind-the-scenes videos of sourcing and deliveries to build trust.
Quality = Customer Satisfaction
Poor quality → Cheaper prices, unhappy customers
Good quality → Higher prices, satisfied customers
Before posting items online:
Wash and iron clothes
Use good lighting and clean backgrounds
Upload HD images on WhatsApp and enable “highest quality” on Instagram
Packaging Matters: Neat or branded packaging improves your professional image and encourages repeat business.
Learn more about pricing in Lesson 3 here
Before setting prices, calculate:
Total cost of goods
Transport costs
Packaging expenses
Data/advertising costs
β Keep prices consistent and realistic for your target market. Avoid overpricing — it can scare away repeat buyers.
Great customer service = long-term customers + free referrals.
Best practices:
Keep an updated WhatsApp Business catalogue
Add highlights on Instagram and Facebook
Respond to inquiries quickly
Be transparent about delivery times and refund policies
Unlike general online tutorials, this course is built for the Zambian market — real suppliers, real customer habits, real pricing structures.
You’ll learn:
Where to source stock locally
How to make profits on any budget
How to market effectively online
How to provide top-notch customer service
